I am so ridiculously excited! Yesterday I got my *new* (new to me, used to my friend) dslr camera! Its a few years old but the previous owner took meticulous care of it and sold it to me for $200. Its a Canon XT EOS (350D) and I’ve already downloaded the 172 instruction manual online. If the weather warms up adequately this weekend I’m going to go out and about and see if I can’t figure out how to use it. (I’ve used it some in the past when we’ve got out picture hunting together so I’m hoping I’ll remember some of things he’s already taught me…) I guess I get to take it off my Wish List!
Expect some much better quality pictures of Christmas cookies in the coming weeks. Speaking of…I’ve started a tentative list of ‘Must-Make-Christmas-Goodies.‘ I offered my baking instead of cash as gifts for our graduate student workers and plan on making little treat bags for some of my co-workers. 
I’m playing around with a lot of different cookie ideas but am not going to nail anything down until next week. I will probably bake 3-4 different kinds and want to make sure I have really unique and different flavors between them. I don’t want three chocolate type cookies or something!
